Soccer at Grey is highly regarded by the Bloemfontein community, as well as by their opposition from other regions. The first XI has won the Bloemfontein League on 4 occasions in the last 7 years. The u/16 soccer team participated in the national U/16 MTN Competition for the first time, in 2007 where they acquitted themselves well. They also won the prestigious Bloemfontein Schools' League. The u/14 and u/15 teams play in the same u/15 league and usually perform well.

The first team is sponsored by Mr Price, a clothing company, which has identified certain schools and institutions in an effort to produce and develop talented soccer players for the future.

Grey also successfully hosts the annual FNB Tournament and has for the last two years been asked to host the Engen Knockout Challenge. Both these tournaments receive extensive media coverage and are regarded as two of the best schools’ tournaments in the country.

Soccer at Grey has shown progress and we hope to continue in this fashion.
